| Kilshaw's Sets Auction Record for Victoria |

On Thursday, February 21, Kilshaw's was pleased to set a record for Victoria for the most expensive items sold at auction. Kilshaw's sold a portrait of Tsar Alexander III painted by Johann Koler for $80,000. The artist is considered the father of Estonian painting and the portait went to an Estonian buyer. Full article

On December 11, 2008 Kilshaw's beat its own record for the most expensive item sold at auction in Victoria. A landscape painting by Albert Bierstadt "Autumn Storm, Franconia Mountains, New Hampshire" measuring 26" X 36" sold for $200,000.00. This price beat the previous record set in February 2008 by Kilshaw's when we sold a portrait painting of Tsar Alexander III by Johann Koler for $80,000.00 Full article
